Today we’re launching Hero League for AI (HAIL) — and we couldn’t be more excited to put it in your hands.
If you lead an engineering team in the age of AI, you already know the feeling. The dashboards look great. Everyone’s busy. But somewhere underneath, there’s a nagging question you can’t quite answer: are we actually getting better, or just faster at everything — including our mistakes?
heroleague.ai is built to answer exactly that.
What is Hero League?
Hero League is a free, refreshingly honest diagnostic for engineering teams navigating the shift to AI-assisted development. In about five minutes, it tells you where your team really stands — no jargon, no consultant-speak, no 40-page report you’ll never read.
Instead of another vanity dashboard, you get something rare: clarity. A clear picture of your team, a clear name for the pattern you’re in, and a clear next move. It’s the conversation you’ve been trying to have with your team, finally made simple.
Why we’re so proud of it
Most tools in this space overwhelm you. They bury the signal in metrics, or flatter you with green charts that don’t mean anything. Hero League does the opposite. It’s built on serious research — but it wears it lightly, and it respects your time.
What we love most is how fair it is. Hero League isn’t here to rank your people or hand leadership a stick. It’s a mirror for the team, built for the retrospective — designed to spark the right conversation, not to hand down a verdict. Teams who’ve tried it keep saying the same thing: “that’s exactly us, and now we know what to do about it.”
It’s fast. It’s free. It’s genuinely useful. And starting today, it’s open to everyone.
Who it’s for
If you’re an engineering leader, a manager, or a team lead trying to make sense of your AI rollout — this is for you. Whether things feel like they’re humming or quietly coming apart, Hero League gives you a starting point you can trust and act on today.
